Caldera Arts Brand Refresh

After 25 years, Caldera changed it’s name to Caldera Arts to clarify its place in the world. The main goal of the rebrand was to present Caldera Arts as a creative non-profit, and one that uses creativity as the tool that can change the lives of the youth they serve.

The new ID incorporated a new logo that was designed to be a new interpretation of the original, a new and vibrant color pallete, and untraditional typefaces helped bring a youthfulness to the brand that was missing.

Role: Design Director
Designers: Seth Shelman, Travis Barron @ Wieden+Kennedy

At Caldera Arts, the main mantra is “we support you” — the new caldera shape can be used in playful ways to show all the things Caldera Arts supports and offers to the youth.

We created custom stickers that can be used both digitally and in the real world to help express the brands values and show how creativity and nature go hand in hand.

In honor of Caldera Arts founder, Dan Wieden, we created a typeface using his camp name “Papa Bear” as a means to always express his love and committment to the youth.
